Angelika Haak the artist in residence by Gilfélagið, opens her exhibition in Deiglan at 16.00 on Thursday, March 27th.
„There’s nothing more interesting than the landscape of the human face.“
– Irvin Kershner
Video portraits are an essential part of Angelika Haak’s artistic work. The series of works plays with the boundaries between painting, photography, sculpture and video art. The video portraits manifest themselves as moving paintings or video sculptures. Angelika Haak repeatedly explores the theme of the construction and deconstruction of identities. The focus is on people and their ideas, ways of thinking and ideals. The video portraits have a contemplative character. They achieve their fundamental intensity through symmetry, reduction and repetition. They allow the viewer to focus and concentrate on the essentials.

Friday, 28.03., 16:00 – 20:00
