Björk Viggósdóttir was born in Akureyri in 1982. She completed a B.A. in Fine Art in 2006 from the Iceland University of the Arts. She also pursued a master’s degree in Applied Cultural Communication at the University of Iceland and completed a diploma in Art Education at the Iceland University of the Arts in 2021.
She has held numerous solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions both in Iceland and internationally, including in the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia. Among her solo exhibitions in Iceland are Flugdrek(a) at the Reykjavík Art Museum, Endless Coincidence at Þula in the Marshall House, and Attraction, Circular Movement at Hafnarborg.
