Eythór Ingi Jónsson performs in Akureyri Church

Eythór Ingi Jónsson performs works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Petr Eben, Joseph Haydn, Hauk Guðlaugsson, Hildi Guðnadóttur, Ghislaine Reece-Trapp, Robert Schumann, Smára Ólason and Johann Ulrich Steigleder. Eythór is starting a concert project for the next several seasons, which he calls the Spectrum of the Organ, but he will be proud to show the diversity of the instrument by playing a wide variety of organ music and transcriptions of other works for the organ.

At the concert on Saturday, Eythór will play passages from larger collections of works by Schumann, Bach, Eben and Steigleder, but Eythór is working on playing all these categories of works. He also plays works by two young and outstanding composers, Hildi Guðnadóttir and Ghislaine Reece-Trapp. Finally, Eythór remembers two chiefs who have passed away in the last few months, Smár Ólason and Hauks Guðlaugsson.

Eythór gives a short talk about the repertoire at 11.45 - The duration of the concert is approx. 40-45 minutes
