Father and son Þórarinn and Halldór Eldjárn are performing a programme at the Akureyri Museum where they intertwine Þórarinn's poetry and Halldór's music. A year ago, they filled Davíðshús and agreed to repeat the feat in a larger venue.
Þórarinn Eldjárn hardly needs an introduction, as his poetry "has become Icelandic classics" as Sjón puts it in the introduction to the book 100 Poems, which was recently published on the occasion of Þórarinn's 50th anniversary as an author.
Halldór Eldjárn is a musician and programmer. In his creations, he spins a web of these two threads so that a large sound world emerges. Halldór has traveled widely and worked with various artists such as Ólafur Arnalds, GDRN and Björk. He founded the band Sykur with his friends in 2008, which has released three albums. His first solo album was released in 2019 and is called Poco Appollo.
