“Time Machine”
In his fourth solo program, Rafał Rutkowski travels through time. In his signature style, he contrasts the present with the past. Was life ever better? Are we living in the best of times right now? Is artificial intelligence a hope for humanity, or perhaps the beginning of its end? How much has technology changed us? Are we wiser than our ancestors? Or is human foolishness thriving?

Rutkowski also revisits his childhood in communist Poland and recalls the absurdities of that era. He reminisces about the Fiat 126p phenomenon, queues for mustard, ration cards for meat, and parties during the martial law period. He talks about his first trip “to the West” and long-distance flirting with his Swedish wife. He also reveals how he impressed a girl with aerial acrobatics and how he used contraception in Belarus.
