Concert featuring works by Beethoven

Symphony No. 6 “Pastorale”, full of optimism and summer joy.

Piano Concerto No. 5 “Emperor” for piano and orchestra. The soloist is Alexander Smári Kristjánsson from Akureyri.

These will be the third major concerts of the Akureyri Orchestra at Hamraborg in Hof, and each time they have featured young and emerging soloists and vocalists. The performances bring together the talents of musicians from the region, including both amateurs and professionals, as well as North Icelanders living abroad.

The orchestra is conducted by Michael Jón Clarke.
