The Akureyri Brass Band was founded in 1942 and has been an important part of the community in Akureyri ever since. Members of the band have studied music for varying lengths of time, but they all share a desire to volunteer their time and contribute to this wonderful community project.

The event is supported by the City of Akureyri and is held in collaboration with the Akureyri Cultural Society.
Admission to all Akureyrarvaka events at Hof is free.
