Bubbi Morthens’ Þorláksmessa concert series is one of Iceland’s longest-running Christmas traditions, and for many people, the festive season simply wouldn’t be the same without it.

This year’s concerts are particularly special as they celebrate the 40th anniversary of the tradition. The first Þorláksmessa concerts were held at Hotel Borg in 1985. Although the venue has changed over the years, you can always count on Bubbi taking the stage with his guitar, performing his best-known songs and offering his unique take on the times we live in.
