A darkly comic contemporary play about the absurd jungle of the housing market.
After an unexpected breakup, Arnrún needs to find a new roof over her head. She can’t move back in with her parents, doesn’t fancy the rental market, and decides to buy her first home instead. What follows is a darkly comic and absurd journey through the jungle of bank employees, real estate agents and lenders.
This sharp and wickedly funny play holds up a mirror to the reality facing young people today, combining Sex and the City-style characterisation with the absurd world of Kafka.
Written by Lithuanian playwright Gabrielė Labanauskaitė, the play was selected as the Best Foreign Play at Germany’s largest playwriting festival in 2021.
