Fiðringur in North Iceland takes place for the fifth time at Hof on Wednesday, May 6 at 8:00 PM.
This year, 10 schools are participating, stretching from Hvammstangi to Húsavík. Fiðringur is a talent competition for students in grades 8–10. Students who choose Fiðringur spend the entire semester creating and rehearsing their act with guidance from mentors, taking full responsibility for all aspects of the performance, including costumes, makeup, set design, technical setup, dance, and music.
The project is generously supported by SSNE, and this year SSNV is also involved.
Tickets cost ISK 1,500, and sales begin in April.
