Singer Guðrún Ýr Eyfjörð, better known as GDRN, and pianist Magnús Jóhann Ragnarsson are well-known to most Icelanders, having explored many directions in their music in recent years. Their album Ten Icelandic Songs was a great success upon its release in 2022, and last Christmas they followed up with a new holiday album. This record includes beloved Christmas songs such as Yfir fannhvíta jörð, Komdu um jólin, Heim til þín, as well as the first duet between GDRN and Bríet. In addition, the album features an original song by GDRN and Magnús, performed with them by KK.

On the first Sunday of Advent 2025, they head north to Akureyri to perform a festive Christmas concert at Hof, where the songs from their holiday album will be performed alongside other well-known pieces from the duo.
