Earlier this year, the bands HAM and Apparat Organ Quartet packed Eldborg under the joint name HAMPARAT. It’s safe to say that those who attended are still recovering from the experience.

Critics agreed that Eldborg had rarely been so close to living up to its name, transforming into a “mechanical hell, and it was blissful,” as Jónas Sen memorably wrote in his five-star review for Vísir. He added: “I don’t know if I can recommend this. I also don’t know if I want it to happen again. But if it does—I’ll be there. Not because I want to, but because I can’t do otherwise.”

Now, HAMPARAT has decided to thrill the nation once more—and this time, the party starts in Akureyri, giving locals the chance to see Hof filled with pyrotechnics from the stage on February 20.
