Come and take part in a unique musical event celebrating the career and legacy of Magnús Eiríksson, one of Iceland’s most beloved songwriters and lyricists.

Magnús Eiríksson, born August 25, 1945, in Reykjavík, is a musician, composer, and lyricist who has had a profound impact on Icelandic music history. He is best known for his unique lyrics and compositions, which have become part of Iceland’s cultural heritage.

In the 1960s, Magnús played with bands such as Pónik and the Blues Company. He first gained attention as a songwriter with Pónik, whose songs were recorded in London in 1966.

In 1976, the band Mannakorn released their debut album, featuring iconic songs like “Einbúinn” and “Kontóristinn.” The album was a hit and cemented Magnús’s place as one of Iceland’s top songwriters. Over the years, he released a long list of songs, many of which have become classics in Icelandic pop music.
