The Northern Chamber Choir, conducted by Guðmundur Óli Gunnarsson, will perform a concert at Hamrar. The choir gratefully acknowledges support from Verðandi Art Fund towards its concert activities at Hof.
The programme will feature Icelandic choral works, including the premieres of seven new Icelandic choral compositions, all written specifically for the choir.
The Northern Chamber Choir is an ambitious ensemble that has attracted attention throughout Iceland for its rich, mature and well-blended sound. In the hands of its renowned conductor, Guðmundur Óli, the choir becomes a living musical instrument. His exceptional skill brings out the best in the singers, creating a sound that is powerful, full and mature, while also allowing for great emotional depth and sensitivity in the softer and more delicate passages of the choral works.
Throughout its years of activity, the Northern Chamber Choir has made an important contribution to the cultural life of North Iceland. The choir has performed a diverse range of concerts and taken part in various collaborative projects, including performances with the North Iceland Symphony Orchestra.
You are warmly invited to join us for this special concert.
