Puruñeka Duo, a percussion duo consisting of Matiss Leo Meckl and Tirso Ortiz Garrigós, presents a colorful and dynamic concert program featuring works by Philip Glass, Anders Koppel, Maurice Ravel, David Lang, and Gene Koshinski.

Using marimba, vibraphone, drums, and a wide variety of percussion instruments, they explore a diverse sonic landscape where rhythm, melody, harmony, and resonance come together in a vibrant and engaging way.

Puruñeka Duo has performed extensively across Europe and Iceland, collaborating with composers, dancers, and artists from a range of disciplines. The duo has also won awards at the Grachtenfestival competition in the Netherlands.

The concert offers audiences an opportunity to experience percussion in a new light—not only as rhythmic instruments, but as part of a diverse, melodic, and visually captivating musical world.
