Sail from Hofsós to Málmey with Drangey Tours. The guide meets the group at the church in Hofsós and leads participants to the boat. The island is home to rich birdlife, as well as remarkable history and nature. A guided walk around the island lasts about two hours, led by a knowledgeable local guide.
The tour also includes a scenic boat trip to Þórðarhöfði, known for its spectacular basalt columns, with Drangey visible nearby.
The sea journey takes approximately 4–5 hours in total.

Note: The drive from Akureyri to Hofsós takes about 1.5 hours.
