Mango and coffee promotional event

Mango and coffee promotional event

The Embassy of India in Reykjavík, in collaboration with the Agricultural and Processed Food Export Development Agency (APEDA) and the Coffee Council of India, is organizing a promotional event on mangoes and coffee

The event aims to showcase the diversity, taste and cultural significance of Indian mangoes. Visitors are invited to experience a wide range of premium mangoes from different regions of India, including well-known varieties such as Alphonso, Kesar, Banganapalli, and Dasheri.

We will also be offering Indian coffee and taking guests on a sensory journey through India's diverse coffee-growing regions. This will be a great opportunity to learn about Indian coffee and explore the potential for trade in coffee between Iceland and India.

Indian mangoes are renowned worldwide for their unique sweetness, vibrant colours, and diverse varieties. India is the largest producer of mangoes, growing over a hundred different varieties in different regions. Often called the "king of fruits," the mango has deep cultural significance in India, symbolizing prosperity, abundance, and happiness.

The event aims to strengthen cultural ties between India and Iceland and raise awareness of India's outstanding agriculture and food culture. We invite you to join us for this special event.
