The Pollamót Football Tournament, hosted by Þór and Samskip, is an annual sports event held at the beginning of July. The tournament kicks off on Friday morning and concludes with a closing celebration on Saturday evening. This event features seasoned male and female players who return to the field to relive their football glory days. Matches take place at Þór’s sports complex by Hamar.

Both men and women compete in the tournament, in age groups of 30+, 40+, and 45+ for men, and 20+ and 30+ for the women.

The 2025 tournament schedule will follow a similar format as in previous years — football during the day and parties in the evening. Matches will be played approximately from 9 AM to 6 PM on Friday and 9 AM to 5 PM on Saturday.

Final matches in each division will take place between 2 PM and 5 PM on Saturday.

Men compete in four age categories (28 and up to 50 and older), and women in three categories (20 and up to 35 and older).

On Saturday night, a big party will be held in Bogan, featuring performances by Skítamórall and Herbert Guðmundsson.
