Twenty years ago, club nights began in Akureyri under the name No Request — nights that broke all the usual rules and established themselves as some of the best club nights in Iceland.

On August 29, the original crew is getting back together. We’re going to build a truss structure and fill it with lights and gear in front of Vamos during Akureyri Culture Night, for one great warm-up event before the big anniversary celebration (date to be announced later).

DJ Maggi, DJ Leibbi, DJ Lilja and Our Psych will be taking over the decks, and admission is free.

The event is called “Roots” by No Request and is being organized in collaboration with Akureyri Municipality and Exton.
