The annual Siglufjörður folk music festival celebrates Icelandic folk music, Scandinavian folk music, and world music. Attendees can enjoy folk ballads, and dances, and participate in courses free of charge and lectures related to folk music.

The festival features 15-20 concerts held in various locations throughout Siglufjörður, including the local church and community spaces. The Herring Era Museum is also a notable venue.

The Folk Music Festival in Siglufjörður will celebrate its 25th anniversary in the summer of 2025. The festival will take place from July 2–6.
