Sólstafir released their eighth album, Hin helga kvöl, on November 8, 2024, via Century Media Records. Until now, the band has been unable to make it north to Akureyri due to their busy schedule of touring and promoting the album internationally.

But that is about to change. There is great excitement within the Sólstafir camp about returning north to Græni Hatturinn, following a shamefully long absence from the band’s favourite concert venue in Iceland.
