The Northern Chamber Choir sings five concerts called 'Sound and Silence' in February and March.

The program consists of American choir music; both new music by some of the state's foremost composers, spiritual and traditional songs and new ambitious arrangements of known pop songs. These composers include Paul Simon, Eric Whitacre, Jake Runestad, Billy Joel, Ola Gjeilo, Réne Clausen and MortenLauridsen.

The choir's director is Guðmundur Óli Gunnarsson and all choir members are educated and/or professional musicians from all of northern Iceland.
