SUMARTÓNAR 2026 – St. Pete and Karólína

There will be a true musical feast on the stage at Hof Cultural Center

There will be a true musical feast on the stage of Hamraborg at Hof Cultural Centre, presented by the Akureyri Youth Council, Hof Cultural Centre, and the Municipality of Akureyri as part of the Children’s Culture Festival in Akureyri.

Saint Pete and Karólína promise an electrifying atmosphere and great vibes on the First Day of Summer!

The young and talented Karólína Orradóttir will take the stage first, warming up the audience before Akureyri’s own rap star Saint Pete jumps on stage and energizes the crowd with his beats, wordplay, and witty lyrics.

Saint Pete is the stage name of musician and Akureyri native Pétur Már Guðmundsson. He will perform at Sumartónar alongside his collaborator Hreinn Orri Óðinsson, who handles the production.

Saint Pete is considered one of the most entertaining rappers in Iceland today. He rose to fame in 2023 together with Hreinn Orri with the song Akureyri, and their popularity has remained strong ever since. In 2024, Saint Pete released his debut album Græni pakkinn, featuring the hit Tala minn skít, which went straight onto the charts and was nominated for Song of the Year (Hip-Hop/Electronic) at the 2025 Icelandic Music Awards. His track Súperman was also nominated at the 2026 Icelandic Music Awards as Hip-Hop Song of the Year, and he was named Newcomer of the Year at the Listener’s Awards that same year.

Karólína Orradóttir is a 15-year-old from Akureyri. She has been passionate about music from a young age and has studied singing for four and a half years. She is currently studying intermediate-level rhythmic singing at the Akureyri Music School.
