It has become a tradition to exhibit the final projects of Akureyri Comprehensive College’s art and design students at the Akureyri art Museum. This is the tenth year that these exhibitions are held in cooperation with Akureyri Art Museum.
Alongside their other studies, the students have one semester to work on their assignments. They work independently according to their own goals and interests, from the first idea to the final work. They develop their ideas through research and experiments, in cooperation with their teachers and other students, throughout the creation process, in preparation for the exhibition. They argue for the decisions they make, in connection with the development of the project and in preparing the exhibition with a professional approach. This is the last project they work on before entering the big world of visual arts.
