As part of Akureyrarvaka, Þórarinn Eldjárn will be a special guest at Skáld Hotel on Saturday, 29 August, with two reading sessions.

13:00 – Reading for children
A warm and playful reading session for younger guests, filled with stories, language and imagination.

16:30 – Reading for adults
Later in the afternoon, Þórarinn will read from his works for an adult audience.

The literary atmosphere will continue throughout the weekend at Skáld, with poetry accompanying breakfast and special literary touches for guests to take home.

At Abba-labba-lá, three cocktails named after poems by Þórarinn — Startari, Núllþol and Lag — will be available at Happy Hour prices throughout the weekend.

A special three-course Akureyrarvaka menu will also be available at Abba-labba-lá.
