Twelve-Tone Quarter – Dimitrios

Twelve-Tone Quarter – Dimitrios

15 minutes concert - new piece for electric guitar performed - Wonder Woman!

Electric guitarist Dimitrios Theodoropoulos opens the 2026 season of Twelve-Tone Quarter!

Dimitrios will premiere his own composition Wonder Woman and improvise on it in two short “quarter-hour” concerts at the Akureyri Art Museum:
Saturday, March 14
at 15:00
and 16:00.

The piece is dedicated to all women — and especially to Adriana!

Admission is free, access is good, the atmosphere at the museum is welcoming, and everyone is invited — young and old, initiated and uninitiated (if that even exists), and everyone in between.

It’s the perfect opportunity to explore the museum’s exhibitions while you’re there. You can also stop by Ketilkaffi on the ground floor if you feel like a treat — whether your craving is for more than music and visual art. That’s a pretty solid recipe for a great Saturday afternoon.

Dimitrios lives in Akureyri and has long been active in the town’s jazz scene, both as a solo performer and in collaboration with others. He teaches guitar at the Akureyri School of Music and leads Baby Bop, a jazz group he founded together with students from the school.

Twelve-Tone Quarter is supported by the North East Iceland Regional Development Plan and the Akureyri Culture Fund. We sincerely thank them for their support and look forward to seeing you there!
