Tereza Kociánová is a visual and mixed textile artist originally from the Czech Republic. Her artistic journey has taken her through the inspiring landscapes of Slovakia and Poland, and she is currently rooted in the captivating surroundings of Iceland.
"Trapped In" invites you to explore island life where our only connection to the outside world is through screens of mobile phones or computers.
The paintings on canvas and wooden plank reflect this experience, capturing the feeling of being isolated yet tethered to the digital realm.
The window in each artwork symbolizes our portal to the outside world, mediated by technology. From houses to mountains, the collection weaves relatable stories of modern-day isolation and connection in a digital age.
