The Forestry Association of Eyjafjörður offers a Tree Walk around Akureyri on Thursday, July 11 at 19. The walk starts and ends at Rádhústorg and includes a leisurely stroll around our beautiful town and exploring green areas and notable trees. The walk should take about 60-90 minutes and everyone is welcome to join!
Ingi, the executive director of the Forestry Association, will start the event with a short opening address, then Jón Birgir, environmental project manager at Akureyrarbær, will say a few words before Bergsveinn, an employee of the Forestry Association, leads us off to the tree walk.
At the end of the walk, the Forestry Association will offer coffee and juice, and participants can enjoy and chat.
