Una Torfa is a songwriter and singer from Reykjavík who writes songs in Icelandic about love, rejection, heartbreak, and happiness. Her lyrics are diverse and explore many sides of complex emotions. She has a special ability to capture precise feelings and put them into words, finding small moments and fleeting ideas and preserving them in her texts. The melodies move in step with the lyrics as Una sings while playing guitar and piano.

Una has been nominated for various awards and has won the Icelandic Music Awards twice: as Singer of the Year in 2022 and Performer of the Year in 2024. Her debut album Flækt og týnd og einmana received the Kraumur Award in 2022, and the album Sundurlaus samtöl was nominated for the Icelandic Music Awards and chosen as Pop Album of the Year 2024 by Morgunblaðið.
