We celebrate the release of two new works in the Pastel series:
No. 41 – Mars Baldur: Happiness
No. 42 – Hildur Eir Bolladóttir: A Priest Goes on a Date

Mars and Hildur will join us today in the Sigurhæðir reading rooms on the First Day of Summer to present their Pastel works. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the moment with them and celebrate the arrival of summer at the same time.

Free admission and everyone is welcome. Tea and coffee will be served.

The Pastel publications are designed and prepared for print by Cave Canem design studio, with printing handled by Prentsmiðjan in Akureyri.

The creation of the works and events in the Pastel series are co-funded by the Development Fund of the Association of Municipalities in Northeast Iceland, the Akureyri Culture Fund, contributions from the artists, and Flóra Cultural House.

The works by Mars and Hildur are already available for pre-order at www.pastel.is and will be sent to subscribers shortly. From early May, they will also be available at the museum shops of the Akureyri Art Museum and the National Gallery of Iceland, at Bók um bók, and at Flóra Cultural House in Sigurhæðir.
