Stitching course in the spirit of William Morris

A course in the old Icelandic cross stitch in Sigurhæðir dining room.

Kristín Vala Breiðfjörð, the director of the Icelandic handicraft association, gives a course in the old icelandic cross stitch in the dining room at Sigurhæðir. She uses the patterns from Þorbjörg Magnúsdóttir´s (1667-1737) bed throw, which the designer and social reformer William Morris suggested would be bought for the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and is preserved there.
