Akureyri Culture Festival presents the newly formed Viking Association "Veðurfölnir" in Akureyri, which will take to the field besides Menntaskólinn á Akureyri and set up camp for the weekend.

The Viking Association Veðurfölnir has called for reinforcements from Hafnarfjörður and the Viking Association Rimmugýgur has answered that call.

In the camp, you will be able to sit by a campfire and socialise with Vikings, view and shop for handicrafts, pass the time with Viking games or songs, try Viking Age weapons and defenses and see them used in battle.

Ragnar Elías Ólafsson Þveræingoði will lead the opening ceremony at the camp at 11:00 on Saturday.
