Today marks the Spring (Vernal) Equinox, when the sun crosses the Earth’s equator, bringing nearly equal hours of daylight and darkness across the globe.

From now on, daylight increases a little more each day here in North Iceland, leading up to the Midnight Sun around June 21, when we enjoy nearly 24 hours of daylight.

Longer, brighter days are on the way — the perfect time to start dreaming of summer in Akureyri.
