Malinche er holdgervingur þess margræða, þar sem menningarheimar mætast og bræða saman skilning, þekkingu, tengsl og vald svo úr verður dýrðlegur vellingur. „Hvorki sól né snjór, hvorki hér né þar - aðeins þræðir nýrrar sýnar, fléttaðir í rætur sjálfsins.“

Malinche er hin eina sanna útópía, ofin úr ull þar sem allir eru velkomnir óháð uppruna, bakgrunni eða kynþætti. Fyrri hópaskiptingar samfélagsins eru brotnar á bak aftur. Þverfaglegt samtímadansverk þar sem íslensk ull, margbrotin ljósasýning, dulúðleg hljóðmynd og þrír dansarar koma saman.

ENG Malinche embodies the complexity of hybrid identity, a space where cultures meet and merge - blending understanding, knowledge, connection, and power into a rich and wondrous whole. “Neither sun nor snow, neither here nor there - just threads of new knowledge, braided into the roots of being" Malinche is a utopian landscape woven from wool, where everyone is welcome, regardless of background, race or origins. A stage piece with three performers and a lot of wool that creates an alternative world. Through feral, animalistic movement and an immersive soundscape, Malinche seeks to craft a mysterious space where different creatures encounter one another.
